Today I read
something fascinating on the Internet. And it was not one of those stupid
clickbait articles.
No More Coffins –
These Organic Burial Pods Will Turn YOU Into A TREE When You Die.
What an idea!
“This unique burial method originated in Italy and is titled The Capsula Mundi project, created by
designers Anna Citelli and Raoul Bretzel. The designers created an organic,
biodegradable burial capsule that actually transforms the body of the deceased
into a tree. As this occurs, the body would turn into nutrients for the tree
that would allow it to grow.”
Imagine yourself
becoming a tree after dying. Like a true rebirth. Some people may have an
opinion that it is better to leave your organs to live after you die by
donating them, instead of becoming a tree. Or you could do both.
Somewhere in the
article they said that if this project does become legal, then there would be
an entire memorial park of trees rather than tombstones. You can take care of
the trees of your loved ones. How sweet.
But think about
walking through such a forest. That will be so creepy. More horror ghost stories
I foresee. Kabristan in a jungle. Woah. I have never been to a cemetery, only
seen it in some old hindi movies. Oh there is one close to where somebody I
know lives. I must take a walk through a cemetery some time. Haha.
Ok, no more goofing,
goodnight!
The idea and thought are brilliant! A bit scared about the creepy forest, but full credit for even thinking about this!
ReplyDeleteTotally! It is a brilliant idea!
Deleteo God!! you wrote this post at night!! creepy was the first thing that came in my mind when I read that article... but even graveyards are creepy- and don't serve any other purpose. But imagine! you're passing through a grave jungle.... and instead of a ghost walking past you.... a ghost jumps on your shoulders!! hehe
ReplyDeleteThen it will be a case of Vikram aur Betaal :D
DeleteBrilliant thought! I think being a tree would be a good way to spend my afterlife.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing :) - Moo.
What an afterlife indeed! :)
