Just-write-don't-think post

I was supposed to have a client meeting in the morning today, and just when I crossed Gurgaon and entered Delhi, I got a message saying that the meeting has been canceled. I had reconfirmed the meeting yesterday evening just to be on the safe side. But people change their minds I think. ~sigh~ And that’s how my morning started.

Yesterday I made a green smoothie for myself – spinach, apple, cucumber, carrot, strawberries, lemon juice and honey, all blended together into a thick smoothie. That was my dinner. I am trying to be more conscious of my health. Did I tell you I have started going for walks also? Brisk walking, not strolling in the garden kinds. Last time I enrolled myself in a gym with an annual membership and ended up going only for 10 days L

I hate cooking.

I didn’t realize blogathon could be so difficult. You know, it’s not difficult to write something every day, it’s just that it is difficult to write something sensible, something that people would want to read, everyday. They should have blogathon with topics for each day. But then it would feel like school times – not that I really mind. I used to love writing essays in school. I remember those quintessential topics – “How I spent my summer vacation”, “my favourite season” (this was my Hindi teacher’s favorite; I think I always wrote about rainy season so that I could talk about making paper boats), “my dream”, and then there were essays like “autobiography of ~some inanimate object~” and “Science – a boon or a bane” I hated the ‘serious’ topics where I couldn’t talk about myself. Ha! I started blogging quite early on, talking about myself all the time. Do they still have the same topics in schools? I think my parents had the same ones.

I used to love my English teacher. She loved me too. I was never a ‘pet student’ to anyone, except her maybe. I have changed so many schools that I have never really enjoyed the perks of being a pet student.

Do you like pets? I have never had any pets while growing up. In the last few years, I have become more comfortable around dogs I think. I was quite scared of them before. But when I was really young, like 4 years old or something, I caught grasshoppers. I would catch them by their wings and put them in a plastic bag. And then release them together. Once my mother attached a string to a grasshopper’s leg and I played the whole day with it, taking it along with me wherever I went. It was like a dog cum balloon – what fun!

I loved playing with balloons. I always thought that people who release balloons in the open skies are stupid (and it happens only in movies, who in the right mind will do that?). But now on the other hand, I love watching lanterns floating in the dark night sky. I saw it for the first time in Shanghai on the New Year’s Eve. It was so beautiful!

Oh I have already crossed 500 words! Can you believe it, ha! I am good at talking randomly. Ok so bye for now. See you tomorrow!
